The Peoples

I pretty much have all the people done - and there were, of course, a few wonderful surprises!

The white circle is Pop himself (I assume - what do you think - there is another old guy, and another guy proudly standing near a giant pumpkin) with his devoted daughter-in-law, and the red circle - well, I will let the beauty of that speak for itself.

Framed and Sorting

Things are beginning swimmingly!
I almost have the frame done - just a few missing pieces. I've kept my eye on that dog - so I think we are still safe.

Words are always easiest. There are tons in this puzzle. And I am eating an egg right now. Why is there a tree in there?

Only a few people - but they look like good ones!

Chicken pieces.

Sky and pumpkins.

Still sorting, though.

Pop's Pumpkin Patch

Drumroll please...

Now the moment you have all been waiting for:

The Second Installment of the Puzzler - Pop's Pumpkin Patch!

Seems like a delightful little puzzle, full of pupmkins and chickens.

A fall theme to remind me how glad I am it is summer.

Rainbow Works is Complete!

I have finished Rainbow Works and it is beautiful!

I am not sure why it is sideways. Can't seem to fix that.

There are a few pieces missing, as you might have noticed. I have my suspicions, and they don't inlcude Jim's stinky sock.

Packed up, ready for round 2 - Pop's Pumpkins!

Uh oh!

Almost there

Just some sky left!

What is this?

I am not sure what this is?

Found it! Black cow's front feet kicking up oddly?

Pot a Gold

I found me pot a gold! So there really is one at the end of every rainbow.

And its match!

Think I'll save these for the last pieces I'll add.

Coming Together

Things are starting to come together. Pretty exciting!

Remove Formatting from selection

I'm beginning to be pretty sure Butters ate some pieces.

Grouping

Putting pieces into groups.

Rainbows

Words, people, and animals

Still being sorted

Delightful Surprise!

How wonderful! I found a sweet little white kitten laying underneath this trailor thing along the edge. Thought I would share!

More Rainbow Works

Lost some of my work last night; this is what I had to work with when I woke up this morning.

First Night

I began Rainbow Works last night.

Didn't get very far, it was a rough night.

Got a lot of the border done, though.

Red Beans and Rice.

Worried Butters ate a few pieces.

Welcome, welcome!

I have some very exciting news! I have just begun a new wonderful series - what we can call a "mini-series" - of puzzle blogs! I bought a four pack of puzzles at Target yesterday, and I plan on blogging all about it the next several days.

There are four beautiful landscapes by Roger Nannini in this set aptly named "Home Sweet Home".

I will discuss each one in detail below in the order which I will be doing them.

1. The Rainbow Works. This is some type of rainbow factory run by delightful Amish farmers. I picked this one first because I went to Target knowing I was doing a rainbow puzzle for my friend Janet. This was the only rainbow option, and it led me to the whole set of four. There is tons of rainbows in it. Rainbow colored cows, and, of course, some chickens. It also looks easiest.

2. Next up: Pop's Pumpkin Patch. Fall colors and tons of chickens at this Amish looking pumpkin farm run by "Pop" - who seems to be the old man with a beard and a cane in the front of the picture. It looks pretty easy, and it has the word "Pickles" in it, always a bonus.

3. Milky Way Farms. A dairy farm that seems to be run by a very frail old man. Perhaps that is only a farm hand for the rich owners who live in the city. There is a dog in this one. A pick cow. Plenty of chickens and cow puns.

4. Dreaded. Sunny Farm Winter. Looks brutal, tons 0f white, some red and black, and sparse on the chickens. Hardly anything interesting here, mostly hokey, lots of hearts. There are a few things to look forward to, though - some weird looking kids that are straight out of Emmet Otter and a brown dog. Maybe 4 pieces, total.

Well, here we go!
